A NIGERIAN, FEMI SOLOLA FOR MAYOR OF LONDON 2012.

Femi, a successful teacher and brilliant Police Community Support Officer was born on the 21st of January 1967. A graduate of English Language, his career as a teacher spanned many years and positively influenced the lives of his students, many of whom have gone ahead to achieve successful careers in life. His positive influence and ability to bring out the best in others never go unnoticed – an important prerequisite in any society. Femi’s desire to serve others led him to a career as a Police Community Support Officer bringing him into contact with people at grass root level. Through his job, he was able to learn about the needs within the community and see the way people live. The Need for Change Femi has watched with keen interest for many years the pain and hardship Londoners have had to endure due to the ineffectiveness and inefficiencies of Ken Livingstone’s and Boris Johnson’s roles as Mayors of London. The two administrations are known for the increase in homelessness, failing businesses, high unemployment, constant strikes, slums in our boroughs and the increase in crime and anti-social behaviour. Femi believes that hardworking Londoners deserve a better deal with a safe, clean, and comfortable environment to live and work in, basic necessities which Ken Livingstone and Boris Johnson have failed to provide. Femi resigned from his much loved employment with the Metropolitan Police to contest for the office of the Mayor of London in May 2012. This is to enable him to serve and be responsible to hard working Londoners in making their environment a safe place to live and engage in gainful employment. Some of his policies on his manifesto include: Stop the yearly transport fare increase without consulting Londoners or involving them in the decision to do so if the need arises. Provide safer, convenient, timely, affordable and excellent transport service. Encourage small scale business growth by making more funds available through grants and other finance avenues, and also by approaching banks to lend to such businesses at lower interest rates. Provide round the clock Safer Neighbourhood Policing teams. Reduce colleges and universities students’ travel fares on all TFL trains and buses by 50% and work toward making it free before I leave office. Ensure our senior citizens continue to enjoy free travel on trains and buses. For more go to :www.femisolola.com or email : ask@femisolola.com by nollywoodgossip.KEEP THE FLAG FLYING MAN!
